A single farm field becomes the corporate offices for a small software development firm; while the remaining 150 acres remain farmland. The heavy timber structure is clad in red cedar and sits gently on a plinth of indigenous stone. A wood boardwalk extends out into the landscape covered in places with a trellis to provide adjacent offices with shade from the harsh western sun. A tower rises above the low slung complex as a beacon allowing 360 degree views of the site. A ground source heat pump, day lighting and local materials are employed in an effort to create a sustainable design.
