Hodder Residence, Valley Forge, PA

Balanced on a cliff overlooking Valley Forge National Park, this passive solar house enjoys spectacular views and lots of light. The massive interior Trombe wall stores and processes solar energy during the day and releases it during the cooler evening hours. Occasionally, a wood stove acts as a backup heat source. The client did most of the engineering for the project as well as fabricating the front doors.
